Intimate Garden Wedding on Orcas Island

When you get an inquiry from a bride hoping for a β€œphotojournalistic approach” you immediately want to say yes.

Capture things as they happen, when they happen? YES PLEASE. My favorite wedding days are hands down the ones where everything just happens organically. I can’t tell you how much of a difference it makes in the air. Everyone is more present, more relaxed, more excited, and naturally more caught up. There’s no staging, no pretending, and no overthinking.

When I arrived at the Outlook Inn I was completely mesmerized. Such a beautiful venue that has a timeless feel. It’s like an old country inn that sits on the water and has the best views of Eastsound.

The garden is nothing less than a dream. A perfect a-frame cabin with stained glass windows. Stunning to say the least.

C + K wanted a day caught up with friends, emotions, simple beauty, and a good time. And that’s what they got. Their reception at Odd Fellows Hall was simplistic and unforgettable. They had Paellas San Juan cater and OH MY GOODNESS was it unbelievable. The food had everyone chatting.

If you’re contemplating a San Juan Island wedding, do it. Don’t even second guess. Whether Orcas, Friday Habor, Lopez, or some other, you can’t go wrong. It’s a dream to wed here.
