I definitely think there is a time and a place for a mapped out session with lots of specific backgrounds and color palette.

Buuuut I also think photos almost anywhere can be beautiful. Even in a tiny downtown of a random town in the next county over. G + J wanted simple engagement photos to encapsulate the time in their lives. Their elopement got moved up/changed/and basically morphed into a family only event in Hawaii. As sad as I was to be missing out on the initial Leavenworth magic they had planned, I was so excited they got to tie the knot 6 months early in a warm, sunny place in spring. YAY ELOPEMENTS. And supportive family and friends :,)

We strolled Mount Vernon on a Saturday morning during. Mellow. Low-key. Really just completely unplanned. It was perfect.
