Whidbey Island Engagement Session

Whidbey Island is always a dream. But Ebey’s Landing is the spot. The top spot.

I never get over shooting here - it’s romantic, minimal, dreamy, and feels like a slice of Iceland in Washington. There’s prairie grass, rocky beach, hills that seem to go on forever, and a giant meadow.

I’ve known J for some time so when he told me he found THE GIRL, and asked THE GIRL to marry him, I was over the moon. There’s nothing quite like seeing your friends happy. And in love.

They brought some things for a picnic; blanket, basket, wine and home made sourdough (precious). And we took our time hanging out while they drank wine and ate delicious bread. I think these kinds of sessions are some of the best; reeeeeally taking it slow. Chatting in between photos, getting to know one another, and not putting any pressure to be anything other than relaxed and present.
