Dreamy Maternity Session at Christianson’s Nursery in Mount Vernon, Washington
Pulling up to Christianson’s Nursery brings instant joy to my heart every time. It’s a popular place for most things; plants, tourism, gardening ideas, and photos.
The nursery sits on quite a bit of land and has a full english garden to give you ideas, inspiration, and makes for the perfect photo backdrop. I mean honestly, who doesn’t want to shoot photos in an english garden?! There’s a beautiful “other worldlyness” about it. Like I’m transported to the 1850s and I’m seeing all the care and love people pour into their property. It isn’t often you are surrounded by hundreds of roses, trees, flowers, really more like thousands.
It’s all a bit overwhelming in the best way. Instant inspiration and a fresh start every time. I’ve shot at Christianson’s Nursery for family sessions, maternity sessions, couple sessions, and no two sessions ever come out the same. I love that about this place!
The morning I met up with G + K it was raining. Like I’ve mentioned before, not uncommon here :)
We took our time exploring the schoolhouse, the garden, wandering from greenhouse to greenhouse, and watching their goldendoodle, Bowser, be the goofball he is. It made for a sweet and reflective session. I feel so many things when I look at these photos.
Pregnancy and motherhood are so good, so hard, so amazing and so terrifying. This session takes me back to all of these things every time.
I sure do love mama sessions - in every stage.
