Low-key Minimal Engagement Session at Dusk in downtown Bellingham, Washington

While Bellingham might not be Seattle, it is certainly funky and worth exploring in its own right. I feel like being local to the area, I’ve only begun to tap into all the best spots for photos in Bellingham. Which makes it so much more fun - you can offer a new session location or area every time you have a client ask to shoot downtown.

To be totally honest - downtown Bellingham has definitely become one of my favorite spots to hang and create photos. There is so much going on all the time. Buildings, ocean views, coffee, donuts, amazing food, cute bars, etc. I mean you don’t really run out of great photo spots. At least I haven’t.

When I met up with R + J, I knew it was going to be something special.

They approached me casually, as if to be old friends. I love this so much; clients are ALWAYS better as friends. Let’s start there, every client, you’re my pal :)

We started down by a little water area and worked our way over to the silos by the granary. We took our time and really reflected and made conversation. No rushing or hurried poses. I take my time to learn and observe every couple. This is where it is always at.

We ended up on the stoop of my dreams. Seriously. I’ve always dreamed of shooting engagement photos in Brooklyn, and for me, this was the next best thing.

R + J made it easy, leaning into one another and completely focused in on the moments. It was candid and magical and perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more.
